The Maxi Skirt Goes Casual Chic
I have always enjoyed the Maxi skirt.
It can be worn casual or formal.
I think the best figure flattering style is the straight style as shown in this fashion set.
Fabric is most important too, be sure your skirt slims you, and does not add bulk. Skirts with a side or back zipper does fit your shape and enables any top to lay flat for ease of style and movement.
I always wear platforms or wedges shoes to add height...however, I love to see boots with the maxi too.
Solid colors a must, unless you are slender, then, but all means, do wear those wonderful prints, especially the Paisley or Tartan plaids.
The maxi skirt, the must have item in your wardrobe.
